Currency pairs
Pairs are grouped into Majors (EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY…), Minors (crosses without USD), and Exotics (an emerging-market currency). Majors have the tightest spreads and most liquidity — best for beginners.
In EUR/USD, EUR is the base currency and USD is the quote. A price of 1.1000 means 1 Euro = 1.10 US Dollars.
