Pairs are grouped intoMajors(EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY…),Minors(crosses without USD), andExotics(an emerging-السوق currency). Majors have the tightest spreads and most liquidity — best for beginners.
In EUR/USD, EUR is thebasecurrency and USD is thequote. A price of 1.1000 means 1 Euro = 1.10 US Dollars.
