The advertised spread is rarely the full cost of a فوركس trade. جديد traders compare الوسطاء on the headline number; experienced traders read the all-in stack. Here is the stack.

1. Spread

The bid-ask difference, paid على كل صفقة. On a Standard حساب it is widest; on an ECN/Raw حساب it is tighter but العمولة is added. Spreads widen during news and at session opens — sometimes severely on minor pairs and الذهب.

2. العمولة

لكل لوت fee, typically charged on raw-spread الحسابات. Often quoted as "$X per side per lot" or "$Y round-turn per lot". Verify which one أنت are reading.

3. Swap (overnight financing)

Hold a position past 5pm جديد York time and أنت pay or receive swap based on the interest-rate differential. Triple swap usually applies on Wednesday for فوركس (to cover the weekend rollover). Some pairs and instruments swap heavily negative.

4. Slippage

The gap between the price أنت expected and the price أنت got. Negligible in deep liquidity. Painful around news, gaps, منخفض-liquidity pairs, and on stop orders during volatility.

5. Deposit and withdrawal fees

Some methods are free; some carry processing fees, FX conversion costs, or third-party charges. تحقق the broker's payment-method page, not the marketing page.

6. Inactivity fees

Many الوسطاء charge a monthly fee after a defined dormant period (commonly 90 days). Smaller balances can be eaten quickly.

7. العملة conversion

If your حساب is denominated in a different currency من the الأداة, the broker may apply a markup on every conversion.

8. المنصة / VPS / data fees

Mostly a non-issue for retail. Becomes relevant for EA users, scalpers, and anyone trading professional data feeds.

The all-in calculation

Take your typical month. Add: (لوتات traded × spread per lot in currency) + (لوتات traded × العمولة round-turn) + (لوتات × average swap) + (occasional slippage estimate) + (deposit/withdrawal fees) + (inactivity if relevant). Compare الوسطاء on the all-in number, not the headline spread.
