What inducement actually means

Inducement (IDM) is a small swing high or low that exists primarily to attract retail stops before the real move. The idea is that liquidity must be taken before the larger trend continues.

Market structure shifts (MSS)

An MSS is a strong displacement break that suggests a regime change — bigger and faster than a normal break of structure. Used correctly, MSS helps avoid trading against fresh momentum.

Reality check

Inducement and MSS are descriptive frameworks, not predictive. Backtest them on your own pairs and timeframes — the win rate often shrinks under honest measurement, and even disciplined practitioners report 35–45%.
