The killzone idea

ICT proposes that institutional flows concentrate during specific windows: London open (07:00–10:00 GMT), New York open (12:30–15:00 GMT), and an Asian range. Trading during these windows is supposed to align with institutional activity.

What the data shows

Volume genuinely concentrates in these windows. Whether that translates into edge for retail traders depends entirely on execution quality, spreads during news, and slippage tolerance.

Practical use

If you trade killzones, log entry time, slippage and spread per trade. After 100 trades you'll have your own answer on whether killzones add or subtract from your performance.

Risk warning: Forex and CFD trading carry substantial risk. Most retail traders lose money. This material is educational and does not constitute financial advice.
