What is forex cashback?

Cashback is a rebate paid to you for every closed trade, calculated per lot or per round-turn. The broker shares a portion of the spread or commission they collect with the introducing broker (IB), who then passes a chunk on to you.

Why do brokers allow it?

Volume. Cashback IBs bring active traders. Brokers earn even when they share — because they earn on raw spread/commission, not just retention bonuses.

How to calculate your real cost

Take your typical pair (e.g. EURUSD), find the average spread (1.0 pip retail), subtract the cashback per lot ($3 / 10 = 0.3 pip), and you get an effective spread of 0.7 pip. Apply this to your monthly lots to see real savings.

What ShaFX does

We aggregate cashback from regulated brokers, pay it weekly with no minimum, and never charge fees. We are not a broker. We do not manage accounts. We do not sell signals.
